Woolworths Innovation Conference and Gala Awards 2012

It was an honour to supply technical requirements for the Woolworths Innovation Conference and Gala Dinner Awards show.

The event, which was co-ordinated by Shelly Stedman of Southern Cross Conferences consisted of stunning set design, staging, colourful lighting and superior projection.

The conference took place in Adriatic Room of the Waterfront Pavilion, where we setup a clean gloss white stage, two rear-projected av screens and a glowing white “W” cut-out, lit up using BriteQ StageColour wash lights.

An energetic and positive audience were engaged in a motivational speech by the brilliant Prof. Rija. pictured below

The function also consisted of a short fashion show, displaying the new staff clothing for 2012/2013 and some fun team-building activities.

While the conference was running, AV Direct crew were busy getting the set ready for the Gala  Dinner Awards, which was held upstairs at the Baltic Room.

Distinctive Choice were on hand to supply beautiful decor for the event.

3 High Definition LCD Screens were setup along with BriteQ LED moving lights mounted on a truss structure. AV Direct also supplied a clean black dance floor with custom design ‘W’ cut-out placed in the centre. DJ equipment, including 2 x Pioneer CDJ 1000mk3 and DJM800 mixer was supplied.

Two full colour 3D lazers were setup for the dance, while confetti cannons were let off during the awards ceremony!
