Having lived in the Western cape all his life Anthony started work in the television industry before becoming technical manager at an events company in Cape Town. At the tender age of 27 Anthony decided to start AV Direct and has seen his Audio Visual Company flourish in recent years. Now 44 Anthony has developed excellent skills in client liaison and project management. He has shown tenacity in developing great ideas, striving for excellence and fantastic service to the audio visual industry.

Financial Director – Tessa Van Andel

Tessa joined AV Direct in 2000. She has developed her skills in accounting, finance and business economics. A business savvy approach to her work makes Tessa an invaluable member of the team. She is very meticulous in co-ordination of the roles between finance and business structure. She adds finesse and style to our business and handles her clients in a very professional manner.

Senior Audio Engineer – Hugo Biermann

Hugo completed a Sound Engineering Diploma in 2001 and finished top of his class at The Studio in Durbanville. Excelling in audio re-inforcement, electronics and structures. Hugo has cemented his position as one of South Africa’s top sound engineers. A 2012 award for Best Newcomer Sound Engineer at the TPSA awards stands testimony to his achievements.

National Sales Manager – Dianne Van Andel

Dianne worked in diverse industries after she completed her N4 Secretarial Course post Matric 1992. She worked as a Branch Secretary for a National Insurance Company for 4 years, joined a IT Sales Team in Mowbray as a Personal Assistant and then became a Office Manager to a Manufacturing Company. Traveled to London in 2002 and worked as PA for a Senior Partner of Wealth Management Company in Mayfair. Returned to SA in 2005 and joined a Recruitment Agency as Secretary to two Client Liaison Managers and was promoted to a Recruitment Agent. Her open approach towards life, friendly positive attitude, strong administration and professional communication skills are key qualities to our team.

Office Manager – Anthea Muller

Anthea has grown up in the Western Cape and currently resides in Kuilsriver. After school she completed a course in finance. Since joining AV Direct, Anthea’s skills have grown immensely. Her understanding of the events industry has developed her abilities to co-ordinate events, schedule meetings with prospective clients, arranging road show travel arrangements and knowledge of equipment.
