Communicare – Building Homes and Communities
Thursday 24 March 2011 announced the day that Minister of Human Settlements, Minister Tokyo Sexwale officially opened Communicare’s first Social Housing Project, Drommedaris.
The R75M Drommedaris is a social housing project by the 80-year-old Cape Company, Communicare, on Koeberg Road Brooklyn. Developed over the past 15 months, it provides 219 rental units.
All speakers at the event expressed their deep appreciation for the quality of the units and the ideal location of the project. Premier Helen Zille noted that the project is an excellent example of what can be achieved if national, provincial and local government cooperate.
