Dimension Data 2014

AV Direct was called upon by for the second year in a row to plan, design, manufacture, manage and provide all technical aspects of the conference and gala dinner for Dimension Data.

Two area’s were utilized for conference and breakaway sessions. The Triple Volume Foyer area was converted into a majestic gala dinner and guests were entertained by the stunning Sterling EQ.

ITRON Africa Users Conference 2014

The Itron Africa Users Conference 2014 held at The Westin, Cape Town was a 3-day conference that concluded with a lovely Gala Dinner.

The full conference package was provided, sound, lighting, stage, visuals projected in HD, backdrops and technical support.

Auditor General Conference 2014

 

Auditor General Conference 2014 took place at Sun City.  Our Technical Design Team, created a 3D Render of each venue, according to scale and included all technical and furniture elements.

 

This 3D service gave our client, the venue and our team a certainty of legroom and illustrated the proposed layout prior to setup date.

 

The opening cocktail evening was hosted in the Green House, we supplied a stage, sound equipment, backline and lighting equipment. Proceeding the 3 Day Conference held in Royal Ballroom North, all 280 guests were entertained at the Shebeen to traditional food and drink as their closing dinner.

 

Another awesome conference with a very satisfied client.

AV Direct was the proud Audio Visual Equipment Supplier for the Morningstar symposium which was hosted at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town.

A large black set backdrop was erected along with a CNC poly-cutout of the clients logo. HD projection was used along with professional staging for the function.

ICCAT Conference 2013

ICCAT Conference 2013 – CTICC Professional Audio Visual Equipment Supplier

A 10 day international conference for ICCAT was hosted this month at the CTICC.  Preparation for an event of this magnitude was key and the technical aspects were brought together and all successfully installed due to months of planning and hard work.

Audio Visual Equipment

The Audio Visual equipment needed for the delegates was of paramount importance. A total of five large format projection screens were used. This included three new Grandview 16/12 screens which were purchased for the event, as well as, two 6m x 4m large format truss screens. All projection was done using Christie projectors programmed through the Analog Pulse switcher to incorporate 10 preview monitors which were setup on fold-back boards manufactured by our own staff.

Our brand new Db Technologies audio line array system was setup to provide accurate sound dispersion to all area’s of the massive hall. The T4 mid/high loudspeakers where very impressive, carrying a real clear signal to around 50m without any drop-out. Complimented by the S10 and S30 sub-woofers, the Db Tech line array proved to be an absolute perfect solution to providing full-range sound to the large-scale corporate and conference event requirements. Delegate conference microphone systems and interpretation booths were also provided by our partners to manage the translation.

All planning and venue layout was planned and designed using technical drawings to aid the client and crew in the setup of the event.

A stage for the main panel was setup and we rigged a 30m truss beam through the center of the hall to install lighting fixtures, which included profile spots and 1000w par lighting cans. All projectors were rigged to this structure to complete an impressive setup by AV Direct. The technical crew and operation staff really worked hard in the days prior to the event and were rewarded by successfully running an event of this stature.
