LCD Retail Advertising and Product Display

LCD Displays For Retail Merchandising

AV Direct recently supplied a turnkey visual solution that consisted of high-resolution LCD screens used to display various promotional products and adverts for our client, British American Tobacco, at the recent ULTRA festival in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The displays were installed onto brackets and truss, while separate av displays were custom built into boxes. AV Direct supplied the structures and shelving to create a vibrant atmosphere for the advertiser to engage with festival goers and customers.

Several input sources and PCs combined to distribute video to screens across the festival area. AV Direct uses high definition SDi and HDMI cabling to produce a quality picture. The video distribution is simplified using Kramer advanced video tools to switch, scale, amplify, and distribute the video signal across longer distances without losing any quality.

The LCD displays were fitted neatly into white wooden boxes and shelves. Our set design department also built staging and tables for the event.

Africa Oil Week

We were delighted to be chosen as the technical supplier for the 2018 Africa Oil Week conference and exhibition held at the CTICC.

Venue Management

Our team designed and implemented a full turnkey solution consisting of set design, AV, lighting, staging, IT, and technical support across various venues at the CTICC, The Lookout, and The Grand Beach Café.

Technical Event Setup

The main plenary consisted of a large-scale LED video display. 120 LED cabinets were installed into a custom set design with panel area, custom lectern, and neatly carpeted stage top.

Other areas included the Prospect Forum, Expo Seminar Theatre, Media, and Meeting Rooms. We designed and manufactured neat AOW Display Boxes that housed a laptop and LCD Panel to provide information to delegates.

The event also consisted of a Gala Dinner at The Lookout, filled with architectural lighting and sound to support the great entertainment and DJ.
The final day saw guests and delegates invited to the Grand Beach Café for a beautiful Cape Town’s summer braai!
