Thousands braved the summer heat to take part in Cape Town Pride’s 16th annual parade through the streets of the Mother City on Saturday.

Marching under the 2011 theme of ‘Love Our Diversity’, the participants wound their way through Sea Point and ended the procession at the iconic Cape Town Stadium.

The event was a huge success and crowds thought it very well organized. AV Direct was again involved by providing a 10m x 6m Truss Structure and Stage for the performers. AV Direct provided a JBL VRX Line Array system for sound, Martin Entour & LED Lighting for effect.

Among the artists that performed were the ever-beautiful Wendy Oldfield and Claire Philips, who had the crowd jumping throughout her set.

There was also some lovely performances by Lola Lou, 3D and Alexis. 3 Tonnes of Fun filled the stage with colour and passion, while Satisfaction, KillDisco and DJ Brian Farrow gave awesome performances that kept the crowd screaming for more!!
