We were thrilled to be a part of the prestigious We Are Africa shows in South Africa for the 3rd year running. A truly inspiring showcase of talent shaping the future of Africa was on display in 3 venues across Cape Town. The opening conference had everything, anticipation as guests streamed in through the beautiful hallways awash in red and orange glow; the entrance into the city hall sparkled with bright red beams of light and big black set surround with an HD projection screen inside; the great interaction and learning experience for all the guests in emotion and conservation.

We Are Africa delegates then moved upstairs for various photo shoots around the marvellous City Hall. The rooms above included magnificent bar area and visual presentations projected onto the walls. The lovely Judy Brown on saxophone inside her beautiful bubble. The colourful and exciting theme carried on throughout the upstairs rooms, where large tables of food were glittered with beautiful leaves and shrubs, hanging along chandeliers and aluminium trussing. On stage we heard the awesome acoustic sounds of Africa, while the party carried on outside on the balcony overlooking the great Castle of Good Hope.

       

The entire conference setup was beautifully planned by our technical team and included a full walk-through 3D drawing. This gave our client the perfect visualisation of the event while still at the planning stage.

EXHIBITION

Next up, the exhibition kicked off at Cape Town Stadium. We supplied audio systems and ambient lighting across 7 zones and 4 levels throughout the stadium. We also supplied power distribution to the outside areas where panels discussions and interviews were held.

The awesome DJ Loyd featured throughout the exhibition, spinning some great African classics to keep the audience engaged and entertained.

WE ARE AFRICA – INNOVATION AWARDS 2016

The Innovation Awards lit up the streets of Cape Town and as we provided audio distribution, DJ equipment, video projection, Gobo lighting, red carpets and a custom made “We Are Africa” Lightbox for the show. There were awards for‪‎ Design‬, ‪Conservation‬, ‪Engagement‬ and ‪Brands‬. The night featured a performance by DJ Loyd with African Drummers entertaining the guests around the venue.
