Sandvik Africa Construction 2010 (Conference & Gala Dinner)

Sandvik’s product offering provides solutions for virtually any construction industry application, encompassing such diverse businesses as surface rock quarrying, excavation, tunnelling, demolition, recycling and civil engineering. Their extensive range of products include, rock tools, drill rigs, breakers, tunnelling equipment, crushing and screening machinery and bulk- materials handling systems.

Kaleidescope Decor coordinated and managed their 3 day African conference inside a 50m x 25m Marquee, which was erected at Afrisam Quarry situated in Kontermanskloof Road. Stringent plans and procedures had to be adhered to by all suppliers and individuals involved.

Sandvik displayed various products inside the marquee by branding the walls with graphic vinyl product information. AV Direct managed and calibrated the digital printing of all 7 product walls, by attaching the branded walls to our Tri-Lite Truss structures. We also provided all sound, LCD screens, camera footage and 3 generators for full the duration of the conference, (23rd to 26th November 2010).

The Gala Dinner was held on the 25th November 2010 at Bloemendal Restaurant, at which guests were entertained by African drummers and dancers throughout the evenings proceedings. A 6m x 4m stage set flat was printed and erected by AV Direct and enhanced by our intelligent lighting.

Both Kaleidescope Decor and the AV Direct teams worked well together and in sync, delivering a successfully ‘ground- breaking’ event!
