AV Direct has acquired great new BriteQ LED Lighting Equipment.

The benefit of using LED lighting is that it uses far less electricity per unit and is so much brighter.

The BriteQ BT60 LS is a 60-Watt Innovative Moving Head Spot.

The BriteQ BT W91 is an extremely bright- LED Moving Wash Light.

Novo Nordisk – Team Victoza Launch

AV Direct supplied stage, lighting, trussing, av and sound for this spectacular launch held at the Vineyard Hotel, Cape Town.

A PS3 System was linked into the conference giving the clients the chance to unwind during the week long conference. Gran Tourisma was the epic car racing game played.  A contest was created for the fastest lap time, even our own “AV STIG” showed the audience how it was done!

Serious detailing throughout the day meant that sales and marketing staff could grasp the new product and be well prepared for when it hits the shelves.

Miglio Awards Dinner and Gala Event

AV Direct supplied staging, lighting, sound and set design for this beautiful Miglio Awards Dinner and Presentation.

Our new LED lights from BriteQ were used to wash colour wash around the venue. Stage Colour 48 Lights were used. BriteQ BT 60 LS Spots were used to create beamwork and gobo’s around the venue. The BT W91 Wash Lights were used to move colour lighting around the venue.

The morning kicked off with a stunning display of Miglio Jewellery around the atrium of the Lagoon Beach Hotel.

AV Direct supplied LED Lighting, 42″ Sonic LCD Screens, Kramer Switchers and JBL Pro Audio for this setup.

AV Direct also supplied white plinths for the displays.

Steenberg Carols by Candlelight

AV Direct supplied sound and lighting for an evening filled with joy at the Steenberg Hotel.

Hundreds of candles were lit and the crowds joined in song while the orchestra performed all the classic carols into the night…

A twelve piece orchestra along with choir and opera singers enthralled the audience in a beautiful evening of Christmas celebration.

Diary of a Dancer

The full theatre production of Diary of a Dancer took place at the CTICC this December, an absolutely breathtaking production put together by the team from Afrika Ablaze along with AV Direct.

Neville Leslie, technical director with AV Direct, outlined the importance of quality lighting and precise AV projection during this stunning show. 3 days of hard graft, as well as, months of stingent planning led to this event’s astounding success.

Aca Joe – Store Launch

AV Direct supplied lighting and trussing for this stylish launch that took place at Cavendish Square in Cape Town.

OBY Intelligent lights along with Futurelight Scanners and LED Lighting was used for high impact colour to display the clothing inside the store.

It wasn’t long before the store was packed and some swinging DJ beats were getting the party started. the crowds certainly had a fantastic time and the Aca Joe brand would be on everyone’s lips as they exited just before midnight.

Cape Town College of Fashion Design 2011

The CTCFD held their graduate awards at the Cape Town City Hall this month and AV Direct was proud to provide technical event solutions for the Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony.

The Cape Town College of Fashion Design’s aim is to  provide innovative education that is responsive to the ever changing creative and technological developments in the fashion industry and to produce designers who possess the knowledge, skills, design passion and work ethic to be highly employable in their chosen profession.

AV Direct provided the following equipment and services for the event:

SDI Awards – D’Aria

AV Direct provided technical event solutions for this function at D’ Aria in Durbanville. A full production consisting of stage, lighting, sound, visuals, dance floor and live camera feed was utilized.

AFDA FILM AWARDS

The 2011 AFDA Film Awards took place at Pigalle’s Restaurant in Cape Town this year.  AV Direct supplied staging, lights, audio visual and projection equipment for the event.
